Turmeric recipes for breakfast and lunch

Turmeric is part of the same family as ginger and is used in many Asian recipes, being the main ingredient in curry. A drop of turmeric highlights any preparation. We also love this ingredient due to its enchanting color, also used in industrial preparations under the name of E100 or Curcumin. Take a look at the following turmeric recipes below. They are delicious!

Properties and benefits of turmeric

This spice has antioxidant properties. It protects your cells and reduces LDL cholesterol levels, helping the stomach and liver in the process of digestion. It is the ideal option for those who have problems with the digestive tract.

By consuming turmeric regularly you can prevent inflammatory diseases, even cancer. It helps you fight the side effects of medications. It is also indicated for people suffering from arthritis.

The role of pepper in these turmeric recipes

Turmeric is usually added to the recipe at the end of the preparation, along with a drop of black pepper, which helps the body in the process of absorbing beneficial nutrients from turmeric, such as curcumin.

If you add the spice in the last 15 minutes of preparation, it can lose up to 85% of the percentage of curcumin. For this reason, it is ideal to use it exactly at the end of preparation or even fresh.

As for black pepper, it contains piperine, an ingredient that prevents the degradation of turmeric. Your body will thus absorb all the best of these ingredients. This unique property of pepper can be used in many other recipes, including medicinal preparations.
